I love my 200. People are amazed at the wheelies I'm able to pull going down the highway. Only down side is I'm only getting 11 mpg.

I purchased my SX Turbo 2 weeks ago. I love the overall styling and certainly the thrust of the turbo. The only "let down" is my mpg is no better than my Acura TL (approx 22mpg) although I really have only driven in the city so it should improve on long drives on the freeway. Also the low profile tires and sport tuned suspension make for a bumpier ride than I expected. I wanted speed and comfort so a little disappointed (with the ride) but not enough to regret the purchase. Grrrreat looking car inside and out...quite the head turner. I opted for the Corsa Blue model since I was seeing lots of white and grey care on the road. What you get for the price should make anyone happy. I was looking at another Acura (TSX) but it had no balls and was a few grand more than the Optima but with LESS features! All in all I'm happy to have my Optima in my garage. Great car.

Update on purchased 12 OPTI TDI Turbo- I now have 1900 miles on this car, and I think I still made the right choice with my 25k. The only complaints I may have is the slightly jerky transmission when in Drive, and your breaking at a light, or stop sign...This can be while you’re in Automatic, or Manuel mode. Other than that the Turbo works great. esspcically with this new technology, barely pushing on the gas, and feeling when its going to kick in...

Does anybody else have this jerky tranie slight disposition?????

I have a 2012Gibson nissan sentra sr love it. It's roomy, comfortable and the 140hp for me is great. Getting up to highway speeds is good. My sentra has the cvt transmission and i love it as well. It's quiet and smooth. I am getting 27.6 mpg around town and a little over 37 mpg on the highway. This car is a solid value for the price

This is a very nice-looking car, introduced with a brilliant ad campaign. I wish Fiat much luck. At 34mpg highway, it is certainly a viable option for the price of just $14,000. I plan to buy one when I get a job.

Good question about the replacement battery, but it's not like it's a hybrid's battery. It's only intended to keep the accessories running while the car is stopped at a traffic light or other relatively short stop. If the battery runs low on charge, the car restarts. Don't know how long that is, and do doubt it varies depending on weather and such.

Savings, of course, depend on how and where you drive. In that way it's like a Volt. If you drive it 25 miles a day--and many people don't drive more than that--it will start only occassionally, whenever the onboard computer decides that the engine needs to run to keep the seals lubed and such.

The auto-start system won't help the high-mileage communter, but it will make a difference for someone with a lot of stop-and-go traffic. Have you ever been in a backup for the Lincoln Tunnel? :-)

I just have to add a comment. I have been researching and researching both the 200 S and the 2012 Avenger R/T, both fitted with the 3.6L V6. All of the complaints about torque steer are just...well, to be plain, just idiotic. Anyone with half a brain and that knows anything about automobiles knows that once you cross that 200HP threshold with a front drive car, that nasty torque steer troll comes crawling out from under it's bridge. It is not a design flaw, it is not a short coming of these products, it is just a fact of life with front drive higher horsepower cars, period. I am contemplating a purchase of a new vehicle and one of my requirements is that is either front or all wheel drive. Simply because I live somewhere that it actually snows and ices up on occassion. Try taking your rear wheel drive 280HP ride out on ice or snow covered streets and see how far you get before you are sliding off the highway :-) If I need to trade a a bit of torque steer for actually getting home when it might snow a bit, I will suffer the torque steer :-)

Yeah, but I drive just 5000 miles a year. At maybe 30 miles per gallon I'm using 166 gallons. If I save 3.5%, that's 6 gallons at $4.00 for an annual saving of $24. Thus if I spend $295 on this auto stop-start system (which sounds annoying to me anyway) it will take 12 years to amortize. To pay it back in one year would require annual driving of 60,000 miles, but then most of that would obviously be non-stop highway miles. Also note the "heavier duty starter engine and battery." How much more is that battery going to cost to replace, and can it be bought from a convenient after-market discount store?
