“In a triumph of innovative automobile design, one of the world’s most sought-after 690bhp hypercars is transformed into a state-of-the-art luxury stretch limousine.”
Not actually. What you see is not what you get. No one has converted a Lamborghini Aventador into a stretch limo. It’s just a promo for Cars For Stars, which bills itself as “the UK’s leading luxury car hire company.”
Cars For Stars provided some rather well photoshopped illustrations of what’s initially purported to be a converted Aventador limo and provided rather misleading statement. “In a triumph of innovative automobile design, one of the world’s most sought-after 690bhp hypercars is transformed into a state-of-the-art luxury stretch limousine. It goes without saying that the first stretch Lambo blueprint, in its fiery orange colour scheme, is poised to create massive amounts of hype in the world of luxury motoring.”
But they haven’t made one. The statement goes on to fess up. “Although this stunning design remains purely conceptual at the moment, it could easily materialise into a real, tangible car with the support and investment of a willing and passionate sponsor.”
Willing, that is, to convert a $387,000 Lamborghini Aventador into a rolling high dollar pimpwagon usable for little other than parking in the lobby of a second-tier Las Vegas casino.
Even if someone is willing to make this declaration of bad taste, we doubt Cars For Stars has the technical capability cut, match and patch an Aventador into anything structurally sound, considering the Lamborghini’s advanced materials. Even if they were, the costs involved would be, well, profound.
So what the Lamborghini Aventador stretch limo is a p.r. effort to get gullible publications to publish stories about it, providing Cars for Stars with worldwide exposure. Well done.
And speaking of well done, there’s the video. But first a question, would arriving in a stretch Lamborghini, were it real, be worth the pain and discomfort in riding in the back to get there? Well, maybe if it’s your prom.
