No sooner had BMW announced the limited edition “V-12 25 Years Edition” BMW 760Li Sedans destined for the US than it had been sold out. The limited run model was announced on Friday, September 7, and of 2:16pm EDT yesterday, dealers have submitted orders for all 15.
Whether dealers had confirmed buyers for all fifteen wasn’t announced, but with 338 BMW dealerships around the country, it wouldn’t be hard for each and every BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Edition to be snatched up by alert buyers.
The BMW 25th Anniversary Edition 760Li V-12 commemorates BMW V-12 engines that began back in 1987 with the the BMW 750iL with the company’s first automotive V-12 engine.
The anniversary edition is tarted up with special upholstery unique to the model including BMW Individual Champagne Full Merino Leather black piping. The seats are contrasted by black floor mats and rear footrests with piping in Champagne. And so everyone gets the message, the door sills, headrests and iDrive controllers are all specially badged with “V-12 25 Years Edition”.

- Alcantara headliner in champagne (sides of headliner in black)

The BMW 25th Anniversary Edition 760Li V-12 is available for order in a full range of exterior colors and additional options.
Like other BMW 760Li models, the Anniversary Edition is powered by a 6.0-liter Twin Turbo V12 making 535 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. BMW claims the big sedan with launch from zero to 60 mph in amazing 4.5 seconds. Top speed is limited to 130 mph, or 155 mph with the M Sport Package option.
The BMW 760Li V-12 25 years Edition is a 2012 model, an end of model run as BMW prepares to launch the 2013 model year 7-series.
Anyone with an in with one of 15 dealers—assuming retail customers haven’t already snapped up all of the anniversary models—is looking at a manufacturer’s recommended retail price of $159,695 including destination and handling, but exclusive of added options.
